On The Silk Road

A fascinating exhibition that tells textiles stories from China, South-East Asia all the way to land in the Mysterious Orient.

Jean-Louis Mainguy created a unique atmosphere in an environment that is inspired by the famous “Buren Columns” that are located in “La Cour d’Honneur du Grand Palais” in Paris.

The main hall of the museum has been transformed into a Giant chess board where visitors can wonder around its alleys and discover the art of weaving and the beauty of natural dyes that is made in Cambodia, Laos and the Malay Archipelago.

Visitors will also experience the intricate art of embroidery from the Chinese ethnicities where those traditional techniques have been passed on from generation to generation.
